Diploma in Communications, 2009, March Intake, 1st Sem.

So. I think the title explains a lot. For those who don't know, I'm doing a bridging course in Communications, because my SAM results weren't good enough to get into the degree program, so I'm taking this one semester of diploma, with the condition of all B's. And basically today is the last class of our semester, meaning the departing of me, and another friend Jade, who is also doing bridging. Well, there is still finals to stress about before a confirmation of going into the degree course, geddit? heh. But of course, no one wants us to leave the diploma, but at the same time no one wants to hold us back to furthering our studies to degree, am I right?

It was awesome getting to know everyone of you. Though some of you I personally didn't really get to know, due to different group of friends. However some, although in different group of friends I got to know through the tiresome group assignments which kept many of us up till the wee hours of the morning. Good times, maybe? Um, at this moment of time I'm not sure if to give a personal "goodbye" to everyone. Cause you know we'd meet up during finals. Maybe I'll start off saying a few things about our lecturers, but I'm doubtful they'll read, but what the heck.

Ah, then again, I changed my mind, too lazy to state. haha. But many credits goes to Mr. Indy. Super awesome lecturer, pushes us the correct way, while still giving positive input, and has a mind so critical about media politics, every class is worth staying up for.

Now, who to start with. Hmmmm... Going by alphabetical order, to be fair. lol. So lucky number 1 is Adele, whooray..*sarcasm* nice getting to know you, and you stories and hearing mine. haha. and kim gary. and Parkson @ Sunway which was a bit scary, and other stuff I cannot really think off now, cos my eyes are gonna close. Anyhow, good luck in your studies. Who's next? I think its Jade? I might have missed out a few names, some Chinese ones maybe? I dunno. Haha. So Jade, nothing to say to you. Bye.. Cause I'm gonna see you in degree, I hope. Then the next is Jeffrey? I like your taste in music, maybe cause its the same as me? haha. Good luck on your guitar man and studies too. Then, I think it's Jeslyn. Nothing to say. Thanks for warm coke? lol. Dunno what to say lar. omg. this individual "goodbye's" is getting annoying/hard. Anyway, good luck in your studies, heh. Next would be Lee Yee, thanks for the first assignment, lol, I know you stayed up late for that one. Haha. And once more, good luck in your studies. Then to Syakirah. Good job taking pictures, and of course providing the DSLR, haha. And thank you for editing the picture that everyone took, all 800+ of em'. And, I'm gonna start copy pasting, "good luck in your studies". So, good luck in your studies. I think next in line is that foos noob, what's his name, Wi-Liam? LOL. No offence dude, hahaha, I'm joking. GL in life. Drive safe please, wth, your car dam sadface. No wait, drive fast and furious, however using your signals and checking before you cut. hahahaha. And (Ctrl + V) good luck in your studies.

Shoutout to members I've worked with, Ramina, the exotic girl from Kazaksztan. Kazakzstan, what the heck, 2 letters difference, first time spelling. lol. Sheena, dam noisy, 7th floor not your house please. Kim Hee, lol, greetings if you're reading this one day down the road. Tasya, or Farah, or Faraheen?! Good job on MHL! Kader, definitely a cool dude, soft spoken, but dam cool. Nicholas, who I worked with twice. Ikhwan and Tino good luck in your studies, and in life, to all of you. heh.

This post getting boring lor.

To the people I did not mention. good luck in your studies and in life!!!!!

Should I end here?

I shall end for now.

I hope you all have watery eyes by now, like how _________ had watery eyes at the movies earlier today! HAHAHAHA.

Sooo. What is there to update? I dunno. Picked up my acoustic again. Been playing No Surprise by Daughtry and No Boundaries by Kris Allen/Adam Lambert. Other than that, not sure what else to play, probably dig up some of my old stuff somewhere in my room. Hmm. Oh yeah, I also bought my Oaks. Got a Square Whisker Pewter with Black Iridium lens. Nice.

Other than that, finals in a week.
College camp?

Monthly update. I think.

Blog? What the heck. I'll just do it to kill time, I guess. Like anyone reads this anyway. Chronologically, I got a new rig, started college, had this massive CoD4 tourney, and, that's about all the big things that have happened so far, I think.

Guess I'll write in that order. Starting with the rig I got at the end of March. My mum covered RM2.5k and I fished out the rest. Below are the specs, not really good compared to the current technology, but, I'd say its an above average setup.

Processor : Intel C2D E7400
Graphic Card : Palit 4850 512MB
RAM : 2x2GB RAM Corsair DDR2 800MHz Gaming RAM
Motherboard : ASUS P5QL-Pro
Optical Drive : LG DVD-RW 20x
Power Supply : Silver Stone ST56F
Hard Drive : Western Digital Caviar Green 500GB, Seagate 250GB IDE
Casing : Cooler Master Elite 334 with 2 Cooler Master 90CFM 120mm Blue LED fans
Monitor : BenQ T2200HD

Total damage : RM2.6k

You might be thinking I just had to come out with RM100 but, I had to buy a scanner too, so yeah, I paid around RM300 after that scanner.

Next would be college. I'm doing diploma in Mass Communications at Taylor's. Campus isn't too bad. Classmates are cool. Parking is expensive. Foosball is fun again. The reason why I'm doing diploma in Mass Comm. is because my SAM results weren't good enough, so I'm doing 1 semester in diploma, before going to degree. But there is a catch, I have to get B's for all the subjects. Subjects aren't too hard, not much thinking but more memorizing. So far, had a pile up of assignments from 3 subjects at one go. Have mid term break for the whole of next week, and mid term exams the week after. Time flies.

And we come to Cyberfusion 09.

The main idea of Cyberfusion was to break the existing world record of the biggest and longest LAN party. So people signed up, around 200 if I'm not mistaken, and they broke the record at 40 hours. Krazy. Besides that, there was competitions there too. Games were DotA, CoD4 and Sudden Attack. I of cos joined the CoD4. It was held over the weekend, 2 days, 2 different mods. I played in 2 different teams for both days. And to keep it short, not going into detail, I got first for both, which gives me a total win of RM900. Bagus?

OK. Asher Roth is damn good. Seriously. Not a big fan of rap and all, but his lyrics are really catchy, and so is the rhythm of the songs.

Also had a movie frenzy over the few weekends. Just came back from Star Trek, wasn't too bad I guess. Last week was Wolverine, and week before was The Sniper.

The Sniper, is a comedy, really. And it's really lame, depending on how you see it, it's super lame.

Um, that's all, I guess. Futsal tomorrow!
